Soundproofing Acoustic Ceilings

Thermacoustic are continuously developing and fine tuning our ceiling installations and we can measure improvements in performance with our own sound testing equipment.

We have introduced increased resilience in the hangers and perimeter track of our acoustic ceilings to reduce airborne and impact noise. However, current designs of acoustic ceilings normally perform better for airborne rather than impact noise.

IMPACT NOISE:

Since impact noise is generated by the floor/ceiling structure, we have developed an acoustic ceiling system to isolate the link between floor and ceiling. We are currently installing this system and will be publishing sound test results in due course.

ENHANCED ENERGY EFFICIENCY:

Our soundproofing materials also offer thermal insulation properties, helping to improve energy efficiency. They can prevent heat loss or gain through the ceiling, leading to reduced energy consumption.
